5 Tips for Choosing Dentures That No One Will Know You’re Wearing (And You’ll Forget Too)

Smile now, pay later with Afterpay

You dream of a perfect smile.

One that looks just like the way it did before your teeth were extracted. It’s natural, but with slight imperfections, and it’s the reason your smile has a confident glow.

You’d love the freedom to eat a wide range of foods and to smile ear-to-ear in photos. The chance to enjoy life to the fullest without the worry that your teeth look unnatural. Or cause pain.

At the same time, you fear that everyone you meet will notice you’re wearing a denture.

The truth is, unless you find the right dental prosthetist, it’ll remain a distant dream. Before you shrug it off as impossible, consider these five tips to help you choose the perfect denture for you:

  1. The most versatile, top-of-the-line denture available – Swiss Denture Concept.

Your smile and facial profile depend on your denture. Without the correct gum support, your lips will be lopsided, and your chin may protrude. Swiss Denture Concept uses state-of-the-art materials and techniques, so shape, colour and gum-matching are second to none. They look better and last longer than any other denture available.

2. Celebrate the imperfections that make you unique. It’s the slight irregularities of an artistically imperfect cosmetic denture that make it look natural. So natural that no one knows you’re wearing it. We handcraft each tooth, so they don’t appear completely straight. You’ll end up with a denture so discreet that it’s your little secret.

3. No more pain, irritation and breakages – Allergy-free denture.

Denture pain can be debilitating. Revolutionary new techniques have improved modern dentures, so that now, your denture can be manufactured using irritant and metal-free materials. Pain will be a thing of the past. They’re fracture resistant too so you needn’t worry about accidental knocks or drops. And, with the same accuracy as traditional dentures, they fit like a glove as well.

4. Throw severe food restrictions out the window – Implant denture.

Life without natural teeth often leads to frustrating food restrictions and constant, niggling discomfort. Implant dentures are the closest thing you’ll get to that natural teeth feeling. They lock securely in place, allowing you to eat a wider range of foods than with any other type of denture.

5. Never suffer a day without teeth – Immediate denture.

The loss of natural teeth can occur for many reasons. It can be a time fraught with worry as you’re faced with the possibility of living without teeth before you can get a denture fitted. It needn’t be like that. An immediate denture is fitted moments after extraction and aids the healing process too. Your dental surgeon and prosthetist work together to provide a seamless result. You’ll never live a day without teeth.

Losing your teeth can be tough. Life changing in fact. Particularly if you’re still quite young (or young at heart).

But by choosing the right dental prosthetist, and making the right choice of denture, you can achieve your dream of a perfect smile.

Just imagine eating a wider range of foods that you ever thought possible. Or, knowing that when your friends watch you laugh at lunch, they see you as a whole, not a chattering bunch of false-looking teeth.

So, if you believe in dreams coming true, get in touch. We’ll help you to formulate an image of your perfect smile – then help you to achieve it.

From my first phone call to Tomika explaining my situation with my teeth and how bad they were and that I didn't know where to start, to having my first free appointment with Elias was the best thing I have ever done. Tomika is very easy to talk to, friendly and professional. Elias, well he is great, told me exactly what he could achieve, the cost and the timeframe and he was spot on. Read more

Elias prepared a full set of dentures for my 90 year old mother. The service he provided was exceptional, using current technology effectively to create a set of dentures which were far superior to what she had previously had. Elias also made it very clear that my mother could go back at any time if minor adjustments were required. He gives meticulous attention to detail. Tamika ensures that appointments run to time. State of the art technology and skills and ability to match. I went to the clinic highly anxious ( my previous dental encounter at another clinic resulted in a panic attack and blacking out twice whilst in the chair) due to the poor integrity of my teeth, as a direct result of a health condition I had lost the majority of my teeth and the remaining were nothing short of a train wreck. Elias treated me the utmost respect and kindness. Read more

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. At Aesthetic Dental and Denture Clinic, we offer two types of denture, complete and partial. Complete dentures are necessary when all your natural teeth are missing. A partial denture is used when some natural teeth remain. If you are having extractions, we can also provide you with an immediate denture. This is often an interim denture so you can avoid the embarrassment of being without teeth.

A denture usually lasts between five and seven years. Time and natural changes in the mouth will affect the fit and wear patterns of your denture. If your denture is worn and doesn’t fit as well as it used to, it may require a repair or reline. Having your denture checked every two years will help to ensure a proper fit and by following your denture care instructions, you’ll extend the life of your replacement teeth.

Dentures don’t last forever. Dentures usually last between 5 to 7 years and need to be relined every 1 to 2 years. Over time dentures become worn and don’t fit as well, so it’s important to reline them regularly. The better you follow your denture care instructions, the longer your replacement teeth will last.

It is advised that you visit your dentist every 6 months for a check-up and clean. This will help to prevent any major oral health issues from occurring. However, if you have bad breath, bleeding gums, discoloured teeth, cracked or chipped teeth, tooth or jaw pain it is advised to make an appointment with your dentist as soon as possible.

At Aesthetic Dental and Denture Clinic, we know attending the dentist can be difficult for nervous and anxious patients. We offer a number of options to help make your next visit as calm and stress-free as possible. Contact us today and a friendly dental technician will be able to give you all the options available.
